Roberto Pombo

Roberto Pombo graduated with a degree in Dramatic Arts from Wits University in 2008. Since leaving university, Roberto has travelled Europe and South Africa performing various theatre shows, including Robin Orlin’s Dressed to Kill, Kill to Dress. Having being described as an “exceptional newcomer” (Cue 2009, C. Kennedy), this talented performer is making waves! One of his most recent credits includes Jerome Bel's Shirtology - as part of the X-Homes Project. He has also worked in the television industry, appearing in various commercials. He has a keen interest in comedy, movement, mime, mask, clowning and puppetry. Roberto has been accepted into the prestigious Helikos International School of Theatre Creation. He begins his three years programme in October 2011.

Kyle Dylan De Boer

Kyle has his MA in Choreography and Dance Performance from Rhodes University. He has trained, performed and choreographed for the First Physical Theatre Company. He is also the creator of CREATURE CHAOS! performed in 2010, funded by the National Arts Festival. Along with performing, Kyle has also developed dance education programmes for the Amaphiko Township Dance Project
He has lectured part-time at Rhodes University, and now lectures at Pretoria University and TUT.
His interests lie in the Remodern paradigm and ‘happenings’.

Mmakgosi Kgabi

Mmakgosi.T. Kgabi is an actor, poet,writer and performance artist born in Botswana. During the period 2004-2007 she studied at Rhodes University majoring in Drama, Economics and IsiXhosa. In 2008 she worked as a Primetime News Reader at a National Youth Radio Station in Botswana, Yarona fm. Her screen credits include BBC's and HBO's 'The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency' series 2009 and Etv's Ekasi Short Stories 'Chasing the Truth' 2009. In 2010 she was a part of the original cast of 'The Offside Rules' a devised collaboration between Constanza Macra's Dorky Park performers and The Market Theatre dir. Constanza Macras. In 2009 she was also a part
of the original cast for Mbongeni Ngema's 'The Lion Of the East.' Over the years she has performed at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival;2005 For Colored Girls by Ntozake Shange;2007 A Lady and A Woman by Shirlene Holmes. Mmakgosi has also been involved in Industrial Theatre in and around Johannesburg.

Kieron Jina

Kieron Jina, originally from Durban, is a Professional freelance performer/teacher/facilitator/ dancer/ Choreographer/ Activist/ Director/Cinematographer and video editor. He is currently completing his Masters in (Performance Studies) Physical theatre and experimental film making at the University of the Witwatersrand. He also lectures in Movement studies at Wits School of Education and Physical theatre senior levels at City Varsity in Newtown. In collaboration, he started a company called 'Stash The Suitcase Collective' in 2010. Kieron Jina’s current interest of study is an investigation of site-specific performance in a contemporary South Africa and wants to further his studies internationally.

Joni Barnard

Joni Barnard recently completed her MA in Choreography from Rhodes University,2009, and is currently teaching at WITS University. As a young South African Theatrepractitioner, Joni enjoys exploring gender and sexual identity and the ways in which these two notions both construct and constrict the body. Her works, such as Epicene:portrait in two, Crisscrossed and Topdeck, have been performed on platforms such as the National Arts Festival, the Dance Umbrella and the Sibikwe Dance Festival.
